What does this fault code mean?
Communication on LIN bus 14 has been interrupted, so the central module cannot reach the units on the bus. The cause is either a short circuit or a break in the bus wiring. The driver does not notice it, but the fault should still be investigated.
Possible causes
- Open circuit in one of the LIN wires
- Short circuit between the LIN wires
What you can do
- 1Check that the fuses are intact. The owner's manual shows where they are
- 2If possible, test the car's functions with the buttons and controls to see whether anything behaves oddly. If nothing does, the fault may be intermittent
- 3Have a workshop with diagnostic equipment read the fault code together with the frozen values, to see when it occurred
- 4If the bus wiring is broken or shorted, have a workshop repair the wiring
