What does this fault code mean?
The connection between the central module and the siren or the remote receiver has been broken on the LIN bus. The wires may be short-circuited or broken, or another unit may be faulty. The siren may then sound erratically or not at all, and the alarm cannot be controlled.
Possible causes
- Internal fault in another control module on the same part of the LIN network
- Short circuit between the LIN wires
- Open circuit in one of the LIN wires
What you can do
- 1Check the alarm function with the remote control after switching the ignition off and on again
- 2Inspect the wire to the siren by eye for chafing and breaks, and check the connectors
- 3With a multimeter, check that the wire to the remote receiver has no contact with ground or positive
- 4If no fault is visible, have a workshop check which units communicate and replace the one that does not
Symptoms you may notice2
- The siren sounds erratically or not at all
- The alarm cannot be controlled
