This fault code has different meanings depending on model, model year or engine. Select the meaning that applies to your car.
Applies to the following models:
5 modelsS60 (2001–2009), S80 (1999–2006), V70 (2000–2008), V70 XC / XC70 (2001–2007), XC90 (2003–)
What does this fault code mean?
The central module gets no communication from the right-hand camera module (RCM), which is part of the Blind Spot Indication System (BLIS). The LED on the right side therefore does not come on. The cause may be a missing voltage supply to the camera, a fault in the LIN bus wiring, or faulty behaviour in another control module.
Possible causes
- Problem with the voltage supply to the right camera module (RCM)
- Short circuit between the LIN wires
- Open circuit in one of the LIN wires
- Faulty behaviour in another control module on the network
What you can do
- 1Switch the ignition on and check that the right-side BLIS LED flashes three times when the system is activated
- 2With a multimeter, check that the signal wire to the right camera has no break and no contact with ground
- 3Also check that the connectors between the central module and the right camera are secure
- 4If the fault remains, have a workshop replace the right camera module (RCM)
Symptoms you may notice1
- The BLIS LED on the right side does not come on
