What does this fault code mean?
The fault code means that the cruise control module is sending invalid data on the bus. The fault lies in the forward sensing module (FSM), which has an internal fault. It can show up as a text warning and a yellow warning symbol in the display.
Possible causes
- Fault inside the FSM unit itself
What you can do
- 1Switch the ignition off and on and see whether the warning returns, to tell whether the fault is temporary
- 2Check that the fuses are intact and look up their positions in the handbook
- 3Test the relevant functions with buttons and controls to see whether the fault shows
- 4With a diagnostic tool, read the fault code and note whether it returns. If it does, have a workshop trace the forward sensing module
Symptoms you may notice2
- Text window and warning symbol with a text message
- Yellow warning symbol and text message in the display
