What does this fault code mean?
The CPM has registered a signal from the combustion fan that is too low, and the heater switches off when the code is set. The cause may be a fan wheel that has jammed, for example from frost or dirt, or a damaged fan.
Possible causes
- The fan wheel of the combustion fan has jammed, for example from frost or dirt
- Damaged combustion fan
What you can do
- 1Check that the fan wheel is not stuck: it should turn by hand without resistance
- 2If you have a diagnostic tool, activate the combustion fan and listen for a buzzing sound; if there is none, the fault is probably permanent
- 3Clear the code and start the heater again to see whether it works
- 4If the fan wheel is stuck with dirt or ice, have a workshop take the heater apart and clean or replace the fan
Symptoms you may notice2
- Poor heating in the passenger compartment
- The parking heater does not work
What the fault can affect2
- The heater switches off when the code is set
- If the heater is started again, it makes a new start attempt
