What does this fault code mean?
At start-up the CPM checks that the heater variant matches the car configuration. If the two differ, the code is set and the heater stays locked until the mismatch is repaired and the code cleared. It is often caused by a heater fitted to the car that has not been set up for it.
Possible causes
- Incorrectly configured control module
What you can do
- 1If you have a diagnostic tool, read which heater variant is registered (gasoline, diesel or undefined) and check that it matches the car
- 2If the heater has been replaced recently, tell the workshop, since a heater that has not been set up for the car is a common cause
- 3Have a workshop set up the heater for the car configuration, then clear the code
Symptoms you may notice2
- Poor heating in the passenger compartment
- The parking heater does not work
What the fault can affect1
- Activation is blocked until the mismatch is repaired and the code is cleared
