What does this fault code mean?
The CPM has found an internal fault in itself. The heater cannot be activated until the code has been cleared. A fault that only shows up occasionally may have been caused by interference when the module starts up, whereas a fault that stays present means the module must be replaced.
Possible causes
- Internal fault in the combustion preheater module (CPM)
What you can do
- 1Clear the code and start the heater; if it does not come back, the fault was probably temporary
- 2Check that the connectors at the CPM are secure and free from oxidation
- 3If the fault returns over several starts, have a workshop replace the CPM
Symptoms you may notice2
- Poor heating in the passenger compartment
- The parking heater does not work
