What does this fault code mean?
The CPM has registered an internal fault in itself. The fault may be temporary and caused by interference when the module starts up, or it may be a different kind of fault that comes back on different occasions. The heater cannot be started until the code has been cleared.
Possible causes
- Internal fault in the combustion preheater module (CPM)
What you can do
- 1Clear the code and start the heater to see whether the fault comes back
- 2Check that the wiring to the CPM has no chafing and no loose connectors
- 3If the fault returns on different occasions, have a workshop assess it and replace the module if needed
Symptoms you may notice2
- Poor heating in the passenger compartment
- The parking heater does not work
