What does this fault code mean?
The combustion air fan in the auxiliary heater is stuck, so the fan wheel cannot turn. The control module switches the heater off when the fault occurs. If you start the heater again, it makes a new start attempt. The cause may be frost or dirt in the fan wheel, or a damaged fan.
Possible causes
- The fan wheel is jammed or stuck, for example due to frost or dirt
- Damaged combustion fan
What you can do
- 1Check that the air intake to the heater is free from snow, ice and dirt.
- 2With the ignition off, check that the fan wheel turns freely by hand. Clean away any dirt and ice.
- 3If you have a diagnostic tool: activate the heater fan and listen for a buzzing sound. If it does not start, the fault is still present.
- 4If the wheel still sticks after cleaning, have a workshop take the heater apart and check the fan.
