What does this fault code mean?
The heater control module has found that the combustion air fan motor is not working as it should. The heater's function is blocked, and the heating in the cabin can be poor. The cause is a damaged fan motor.
Possible causes
- Damaged fan motor
What you can do
- 1Start the heater and listen for noise from the fan motor, such as scraping or grinding.
- 2With the ignition off, check that the fan wheel turns freely by hand and that the connectors to the fan are firmly seated.
- 3Erase the fault codes in the auxiliary heater and test start it. If the fault returns with good connectors, the fan motor is likely damaged.
- 4Replace the fan motor if it is damaged, or have a workshop do it.
- 5If the fault remains after replacement, have a workshop update the software in the heater and investigate further.
