What does this fault code mean?
The heater has been locked in the switched-off state after a serious functional fault. The lock always occurs together with at least one other fault code in the heater control module, so those other codes are the first thing to deal with. The heater cannot be started until the fault codes have been erased.
Possible causes
- Damaged heater
- A serious functional fault in the heater, which also shows in other fault codes in the control module
What you can do
- 1Read the fault codes in the auxiliary heater and see which other codes are stored. Deal with those first.
- 2Erase the fault codes once the others have been fixed, then test start the heater to see whether it is still locked.
- 3Check that the connectors at the heater are firmly seated and not corroded.
- 4If the heater is still locked, have a workshop check the heater and read its status with diagnostic equipment.

- The parking or auxiliary heater does not work when it is activated
What the fault can affect2
