What does this fault code mean?
The heater control module has found an internal fault in its own circuits, a memory fault. The heater's function is blocked. The fault comes from the control module itself and not from cables or connections outside it.
Possible causes
- Damaged heater control module
What you can do
- 1Check that the fuses for the heater are intact. Look in the car's manual to find where they are.
- 2Check that the battery has normal voltage, as a weak battery can cause odd faults in the electronics.
- 3Erase the fault code and test run the heater. If the fault returns, it is a lasting fault in the control module.
- 4If you have a diagnostic tool: check whether more fault codes are stored in the auxiliary heater, as they may show which part is faulty.
- 5Have a workshop check the heater control module and replace it if needed.
