What does this fault code mean?
The heater control module has registered a fault in the software that monitors the heater. The heater is switched off when the fault code is set, and if you start it again it makes a new start attempt. The fault comes from the control module itself and may be temporary.
Possible causes
- Internal fault in the heater control module
What you can do
- 1Check that the battery has normal voltage and that the fuses for the heater are intact.
- 2Start the heater again. If it runs normally and the fault does not return, it is probably a temporary disturbance.
- 3If you have a diagnostic tool: read the fault codes in the auxiliary heater and deal with any other stored codes first.
- 4If the fault is lasting, have a workshop download the latest software to the auxiliary heater.
- 5If the fault returns after the software update, have a workshop replace the heater control module.
