What does this fault code mean?
The fault code is set when the button for operating the convertible roof has been held down for more than one minute. The fault may be caused by the button being pressed too long, by it sticking in the active position, or by a fault in the wiring or the roof control module. Roof operation may then be limited or absent.
Possible causes
- The button has been pressed unintentionally for too long
- Control button not working
- Cable between the control button and the roof control module short-circuited to ground
- Internal fault in the convertible roof control module
What you can do
- 1Check that the roof button does not stick or stay in the active position. Press it once and release it.
- 2Check that no object is resting on and pressing the button or switch.
- 3If the button works and the fault code does not return, no action is needed and the code can be erased.
- 4With the ignition off, use a multimeter to check that the cable from the button has no contact with ground (the body). Repair the cable if it has contact.
- 5If the button is in order and the fault returns, have a workshop check the convertible roof control module.
