What does this fault code mean?
The button for closing the convertible roof has been activated for more than one minute, so the control module has set the fault code. The cause may be that the button was held in for too long, that it has stuck, or a fault in the wiring or in the roof control module. Closing the roof may then be limited or absent.
Possible causes
- Unintentionally long pressing of the button
- The button for closing the roof is not working
- Short to ground in the cable between the button and the roof control module
- Internal fault in the convertible roof control module
What you can do
- 1Look at the button for closing the roof and see whether it is stuck in the pressed position. Free it if needed.
- 2Remove any objects resting against the button or switch.
- 3With the ignition on, use a multimeter to check that the cable from the button is not short-circuited to ground (the body).
- 4If the fault code does not return when the button works normally, no action is needed and the code can be erased.
- 5If the fault remains although the button is in order, have a workshop check the convertible roof control module.
