What does this fault code mean?
The temperature sensor in the convertible roof hydraulic pump gives a value outside the range the control module accepts. The fault code may be caused by loose connections or contact resistance between the sensor and the control module, by a hydraulic line that has been pinched, or by an internal fault in the control module. The roof may then be hard to open and close.
Possible causes
- Loose connections or contact resistance between the temperature sensor in the hydraulic pump and the roof control module
- Hydraulic line that has been pinched
- Internal fault in the convertible roof control module
What you can do
- 1With the ignition off, check that the connectors between the hydraulic pump and the roof control module are firmly seated and clean.
- 2Look for any hydraulic line that has been pinched. If a line is pinched, have a workshop repair it, as the hydraulics are a pressure system.
- 3If you have a diagnostic tool: watch the hydraulic pump temperature in live data after the roof has been run for a while, and check that the value rises and falls reasonably.
- 4If no faults are visible in the lines and connectors, have a workshop check the convertible roof control module and replace it if the fault is lasting.
Symptoms you may notice2
- The roof is slow or hard to open or close
- The roof cannot be opened or closed
