What does this fault code mean?
The power consumption of hall sensor 5 deviates from the normal values when it is on and when it is off. This points to a damaged hall sensor, or to an internal fault in the convertible roof control module. The roof may then be operated only in a limited way or not at all.
Possible causes
- Damaged hall sensor
- Internal fault in the convertible roof control module
What you can do
- 1With the ignition on, look at the hall sensor for wear or signs of damage.
- 2If you have a diagnostic tool: read the hall sensor status in live data while the roof runs, and check that it changes between on and off.
- 3If there are signs of damage to the hall sensor, have a workshop replace it.
- 4If the fault remains after this, have a workshop check the convertible roof control module, as the fault most likely lies within it.
Symptoms you may notice2
