What does this fault code mean?
Hall sensor 15 in the convertible roof gives no pulse when the hydraulic pump is running, and its power consumption is below normal. The cause may be the signal wire being short-circuited to battery voltage, a damaged sensor, or an internal fault in the control module. The roof may then be operated only in a limited way or not at all.
Possible causes
- The signal wire between the hall sensor and the roof control module is short-circuited to voltage
- Damaged hall sensor
- Internal fault in the convertible roof control module
What you can do
- 1With the ignition off, check that the connector at hall sensor 15 is firmly seated and clean.
- 2Examine the signal wire from hall sensor 15 for chafing, damage and pinching along its whole length.
- 3With the ignition off, use a multimeter to check that the signal wire from hall sensor 15 has no battery voltage. If it does, the wire must be repaired.
- 4If the wire is in good condition, have a workshop replace hall sensor 15.
- 5If the fault remains after this, have a workshop check the control module, as the fault then lies within it.
Symptoms you may notice2
