What does this fault code mean?
Hall sensor 15 in the convertible roof gives no pulse when the hydraulic pump is running, and its power consumption is too high. The fault may be caused by a signal wire short-circuited to ground, a broken connection between the sensor and the control module, or an internal fault in the sensor or the control module. The roof may then be operated only in a limited way or not at all.
Possible causes
- Signal wire short-circuited to ground
- Broken connection between hall sensor 15 and the roof control module
- Internal fault in hall sensor 15
- Internal fault in the convertible roof control module
What you can do
- 1With the ignition off, check the connectors at hall sensor 15 and at the control module for looseness, oxidation or contacts that are not properly latched.
- 2Use a multimeter to check that the wire from hall sensor 15 is intact all the way and not grounded to the body.
- 3Repair or replace the wire if it is broken or grounded. If the wire is intact, have a workshop replace hall sensor 15.
- 4If the fault remains after this, have a workshop fault-trace the roof control module.
