What does this fault code mean?
Hall sensor 6 in the convertible roof gives no pulse when the hydraulic pump is running, and its power consumption is too high. The fault may be a signal wire grounded to the body, a broken connector, or an internal fault in the sensor or the control module. The roof may then be operated only in a limited way or not at all.
Possible causes
- Signal wire short-circuited to ground
- Broken connector between hall sensor 6 and the roof control module
- Internal fault in hall sensor 6
- Internal fault in the convertible roof control module
What you can do
- 1With the ignition off, check the connectors at hall sensor 6 and at the control module for looseness, oxidation or contacts that are not properly latched.
- 2Use a multimeter to check that the signal wire from hall sensor 6 is intact and has no contact with ground (the body).
- 3If the connector and wire are in order, have a workshop replace hall sensor 6.
- 4If the fault remains after this, have a workshop repair or replace the roof control module.
