What does this fault code mean?
Hall sensor 11 in the convertible roof gives no pulse when the hydraulic pump is running, and its power consumption is below normal. The fault may be caused by the signal wire being short-circuited to battery voltage, by a damaged sensor, or by an internal fault in the control module. The roof may then be operated only in a limited way or not at all.
Possible causes
- The signal wire between hall sensor 11 and the roof control module is short-circuited to voltage
- Damaged hall sensor 11
- Internal fault in the convertible roof control module
What you can do
- 1With the ignition off, look for damage and chafing on the signal wire from hall sensor 11 to the roof control module.
- 2With the ignition off, use a multimeter to check that the signal wire from hall sensor 11 has no battery voltage. If it does, the wire must be repaired.
- 3Check the connectors at hall sensor 11 and at the control module for looseness, oxidation or contacts that are not latched. Clean or tighten them.
- 4If the wire and connectors are in order, have a workshop replace hall sensor 11.
- 5If the fault remains, have a workshop check the convertible roof control module.
