What does this fault code mean?
Hall sensor 11 in the convertible roof module (CRM) on the C70 draws too much or too little current, both when the ignition is on and when it is off. The control module cannot rely on the sensor signal, so the roof may work poorly or not at all. The fault can come from a damaged sensor or from an internal fault in the roof control module.
Possible causes
- Damaged hall sensor
- Internal fault in the roof control module (CRM)
What you can do
- 1Read out and clear the fault code, then test the roof in both directions and see whether the fault returns
- 2Check that the hall sensor connector is secure and free from corrosion and damage
- 3If you have a diagnostic tool, follow the sensor value in live data and check that it changes when a magnet is held against the sensor
- 4If the sensor is visibly damaged or worn, it should be replaced, which is a job for a workshop
- 5If the fault remains after checking the sensor, have a workshop check the roof control module
Symptoms you may notice2
- The roof cannot be operated, or only moves partly
