What does this fault code mean?
The power consumption of hall sensor 7 differs from the normal value both when the ignition is on and when it is off. The convertible roof module (CRM) therefore cannot rely on the sensor position. The fault can be caused by a damaged hall sensor or by an internal fault in the roof control module.
Possible causes
- Damaged hall sensor
- Internal fault in the roof control module (CRM)
What you can do
- 1Read out and clear the fault code, then test the roof in both directions and see whether the fault returns
- 2Look for wear and damage on hall sensor 7 and have it replaced if damaged, which should be done by a workshop
- 3If you have a diagnostic tool, follow the sensor status in live data while the roof runs and check that it changes
- 4If no fault is found on the sensor, a workshop needs to check the roof control module
Symptoms you may notice2
- The roof cannot be operated, or only moves partly
