What does this fault code mean?
The power consumption of hall sensor 3 differs from normal both when the ignition is on and when it is off. Because the control module cannot rely on the sensor position, the roof may work poorly or not at all. The cause can be a damaged hall sensor or a fault inside the control module.
Possible causes
- Damaged hall sensor
- Internal fault in the roof control module (CRM)
What you can do
- 1Read out and clear the fault code, test the roof and see whether the fault returns
- 2Look for wear or damage on hall sensor 3, and have a workshop replace it if it is damaged
- 3If you have a diagnostic tool, compare the hall sensor 3 value in live data while the roof is moving and while it stands still
- 4If the fault remains after checking the sensor, a workshop needs to replace the convertible roof module (CRM)
Symptoms you may notice2
- No or limited roof operation
