What does this fault code mean?
The power consumption of hall sensor 13 differs from normal in both the ON and OFF positions. The roof control module therefore cannot rely on the sensor signal, and the roof may work poorly or not at all. The fault can be a damaged sensor or a fault inside the control module.
Possible causes
- Damaged hall sensor
- Internal fault in the roof control module (CRM)
What you can do
- 1Read out and clear the fault code, test the roof and see whether the fault returns
- 2Check hall sensor 13 for wear and signs that it has stopped working, and have a workshop replace it if it is damaged
- 3If you have a diagnostic tool, follow hall sensor 13 in live data while the roof runs and check that the value changes
- 4If the fault remains after checking the sensor, a workshop needs to replace the convertible roof module (CRM)
Symptoms you may notice2
- No or limited roof operation
