What does this fault code mean?
The power consumption of hall sensor 16 is above the normal value, and no sensor pulse appears when the hydraulic pump runs. The fault can be caused by the signal wire being shorted to ground, a broken connector between the sensor and the control module, or an internal fault in the sensor or in the roof control module.
Possible causes
- The signal wire is shorted to ground
- The connector between hall sensor 16 and the roof control module is broken
- Internal fault in hall sensor 16
- Internal fault in the roof control module (CRM)
What you can do
- 1With a multimeter you can check that the wire from hall sensor 16 has no break and no short to ground
- 2Check that the connector is clean, fully seated and free from loose connections
- 3Repair a damaged wire. If the connector and wire are intact but the fault remains, a workshop should replace hall sensor 16
- 4If the fault still remains, a workshop needs to check the roof control module
- 5Read out and clear the fault code, test the roof and see whether the fault comes back
