What does this fault code mean?
Hall sensor 9 and hall sensor 13 report positions that do not agree with each other, which the roof control module does not accept. The fault can be caused by a damaged sensor or a sensor that has moved, but a protruding metal part that wrongly activates a sensor can also cause the code.
Possible causes
- Damaged hall sensor
- A sensor has moved out of position
- A sensor is wrongly activated by a protruding metal part
What you can do
- 1Read out and clear the fault code, test the roof and see whether the fault returns
- 2Make sure hall sensors 9 and 13 are firmly fitted, and that their connectors are clean, without oxidation or loose contacts
- 3Look for damage to the roof that could make both sensors activate at the same time
- 4If you have a diagnostic tool, follow both sensor states in live data while the roof runs and check that they do not show conflicting positions
- 5If a sensor is damaged, a workshop should replace it
Symptoms you may notice1
- No or limited roof operation
