What does this fault code mean?
Hall sensor 11 and hall sensor 12 report positions that do not agree with each other. The roof control module therefore cannot establish the roof position reliably, and the roof may only operate to a limited extent. The fault can come from a damaged sensor, a sensor that has moved, or a protruding metal part that activates a sensor by mistake.
Possible causes
- Damaged hall sensor
- A sensor has moved out of position
- A protruding metal part activates a sensor by mistake
What you can do
- 1Clear the fault code and test the roof afterwards to see whether it comes back
- 2Make sure hall sensors 11 and 12 are secure, and that their contacts are free from oxidation
- 3Look for any damage to the roof that could make both sensors activate
- 4If you have a diagnostic tool, follow the sensor values in live data as the roof travels from one end position to the other
- 5If a sensor is damaged it needs replacing, which a workshop should do
Symptoms you may notice1
- No or limited roof operation
