What does this fault code mean?
Position sensor 2 and position sensor 17 indicate positions that do not match each other. The convertible roof module (CRM) therefore cannot reliably determine the roof position. The cause may be a damaged or displaced sensor, or a protruding metal part wrongly activating a sensor.

- Damaged position sensor
- A sensor has moved out of position
- A protruding metal part wrongly activates a sensor
What you can do
- 1Read out and clear the fault code, then test the roof to see whether the fault returns
- 2Make sure the position sensors are firmly fixed and that their connectors are clean and free from oxidation
- 3Look for damage to the roof that could make both sensors signal at the same time
- 4If you have a diagnostic tool, follow the status of both position sensors in live data while the roof moves forward and back
- 5If a sensor is damaged, a workshop should replace it and calibrate the roof afterwards
