What does this fault code mean?
The signal to hydraulic valve 1 is too high or too low. The fault arises when the wire between the roof control module (CRM) and the hydraulic valve has an open circuit or is shorted to ground or voltage, or when the valve itself does not work. The movement of the roof may then be limited.
Possible causes
- Open circuit in the wire between the roof control module and the hydraulic valve
- The wire between the roof control module and the hydraulic valve is shorted to ground or voltage
- The hydraulic valve does not work, with an internal short to ground
- Internal fault in the roof control module (CRM)
What you can do
- 1Read out and clear the fault code, test the roof and see whether the fault comes back
- 2Check only the wires to the hydraulic valve that the fault code refers to
- 3With a multimeter you can check the wires for an open circuit and for a short to ground or voltage
- 4If a fault is found in the wire, replace the wire. If nothing is found, the hydraulic pump may need replacing by a workshop
- 5If the fault remains, a workshop needs to check the roof control module
Symptoms you may notice2
- No or limited roof operation
