What does this fault code mean?
The control signal to hydraulic valve 2 is outside normal range, either too high or too low. The fault can arise if the wire between the roof control module (CRM) and the valve has an open circuit or is shorted to ground or voltage, but also if the valve itself has stopped working. The roof movement may then be restricted.
Possible causes
- Open circuit in the wire between the roof control module and hydraulic valve 2
- The wire between the roof control module and hydraulic valve 2 is shorted to ground or voltage
- Hydraulic valve 2 does not work and has an internal short to ground
- Internal fault in the roof control module (CRM)
What you can do
- 1Read out and clear the fault code, test the roof and see whether the fault comes back
- 2Check the wires to hydraulic valve 2, and not those of any other valve
- 3With a multimeter you can check whether the wire has an open circuit or a short to ground or voltage
- 4If the wire is faulty it should be replaced. If nothing is found, the hydraulic pump may need replacing by a workshop
- 5If the fault remains, a workshop needs to check the roof control module
Symptoms you may notice2
- No or limited roof operation
