What does this fault code mean?
The signal to hydraulic valve 4 is outside its normal range, either too high or too low. The fault comes from a broken or grounded wire between the roof control module and the valve, from a wire shorted to voltage, or from a valve that is not working because of an internal short to ground. The roof may then move in a limited way.
Possible causes
- Open circuit in the wire between the roof control module and hydraulic valve 4
- The wire between the roof control module and hydraulic valve 4 is shorted to ground or voltage
- Hydraulic valve 4 does not work, with an internal short to ground
- Internal fault in the roof control module (CRM)
What you can do
- 1Read out and clear the fault code, test the roof and see whether it comes back
- 2Check the wires to hydraulic valve 4 and no others
- 3With a multimeter you can see whether the wire has a break or a short to ground or voltage
- 4If a wire is damaged, replace it. If nothing is found, a workshop may need to replace the hydraulic pump
- 5If the fault remains, a workshop should inspect the roof control module
