What does this fault code mean?
The cable to the electric radio antenna is shorted to supply voltage, so the antenna does not extend or retract and radio reception becomes worse, especially on AM. The fault only occurs when the vehicle is configured incorrectly, so a damaged component is not necessarily the cause.
Possible causes
- The cable between the antenna unit and the roof control module is shorted to supply voltage
- Internal fault in the electric radio antenna unit
- Internal fault in the roof control module (CRM)
What you can do
- 1Read out and clear the fault code, and check whether it comes back
- 2With a multimeter you can check that the cable to the antenna unit has no contact with voltage
- 3Since the fault only occurs with an incorrect configuration, a workshop should check the vehicle configuration and program it if needed
- 4If the fault remains, the antenna unit may be faulty and should be checked by a workshop
