What does this fault code mean?
The cable to the electric radio antenna is shorted to ground, so the antenna does not extend or retract and radio reception gets worse, especially on AM. The fault only occurs when the vehicle is configured incorrectly, so a faulty antenna or control module is not necessarily the cause.
Possible causes
- The cable between the antenna unit and the roof control module is shorted to ground
- Internal fault in the electric radio antenna unit
- Internal fault in the roof control module (CRM)
What you can do
- 1Read out and clear the fault code and check whether it returns
- 2With a multimeter you can check that the cable to the antenna unit is not shorted to ground
- 3The vehicle configuration decides the fault, so a workshop should check it and program it if needed
- 4If the fault remains, the antenna unit may need checking by a workshop
