What does this fault code mean?
The relay that controls the locking function for the boot lid in the convertible roof module (CRM) is not working. Although the code is named after a relay fault in the control module, it is the locking function that is affected. Fault-finding starts with the catches, and the control module only needs replacing if the fault remains.
Possible causes
- Internal fault in the roof control module (CRM)
What you can do
- 1First check whether fault code CRM-E010 is stored, as that code should be dealt with first
- 2If you have a diagnostic tool, activate the catch motor and check in live data whether it shows locked or unlocked after the activations
- 3If the catches work and the fault is intermittent, the control module should not be replaced
- 4If the catches do not work and the fault is permanent, a workshop should replace the convertible roof module (CRM)
