What does this fault code mean?
The catch motor is not working, so the catch it controls cannot move as it should. The fault can be caused by a faulty or disconnected motor, a catch blocked mechanically, or an open circuit in the wire to the roof control module. A failed hall sensor or an internal fault in the control module can also cause the code.
Possible causes
- The catch motor is not working
- The catch is blocked mechanically
- The catch motor is disconnected
- Open circuit in the wire between the catch motor and the roof control module
- The hall sensor is not working
- Internal fault in the roof control module (CRM)
What you can do
- 1Read out and clear the fault code and check whether it returns
- 2Make sure nothing nearby, such as an object or a damaged part, is blocking the catch
- 3With a multimeter you can check that the wire to the catch motor has no break
- 4If you have a diagnostic tool, activate the catch motor and check that the position in live data switches between locked and unlocked
- 5If no fault is found, a workshop should check the hall sensor and replace the catch motor if needed
