Applies to the following models:
1 modelV60 (2011–)
Show models by year and engine (2)
What does this fault code mean?
The DC/DC converter module (DCDC) monitors the system voltage and has registered a voltage outside the permitted range. The cause can be contact resistance or oxidation in the connections, or a short or open circuit in them. As DCDC is part of the high voltage system, a workshop should investigate the fault.
Possible causes
- Contact resistance or oxidation in the connections
- Short circuit or open circuit in the connections
What you can do
- 1Check that the 12-volt battery is charged and that its terminals are tight
- 2The ignition-controlled supply cable to DCDC should be checked by a workshop, as it is part of the high voltage system
- 3If the fault remains, a workshop should look at the connections to DCDC for open circuit, contact resistance and oxidation
- 4Work on the high voltage system may only be carried out by trained staff in a workshop
Symptoms you may notice4
- Text message and warning symbol in the display
- The high voltage battery does not charge, or performs worse while driving
- The PURE, SAVE and AWD drive modes disengage automatically or are not available
- The combustion engine is active in hybrid mode, often or always
What the fault can affect2
- The high voltage battery does not charge
- Hybrid driving mode is forced
