DCDC-P056317 - System Voltage High. General Electrical Failures. Circuit voltage above threshold
System

Volvo models this fault code applies to
Applies to the following models:
1 modelV60 (2011–)
Show models by year and engine (2)
What does this fault code mean?
DCDC, the DC/DC converter module, reads the system voltage of the car and has found it too high. The fault is caused by a short to supply voltage. No noticeable effect on the driver is listed, but DCDC is part of the high voltage system, so a workshop should investigate the fault.
Possible causes
- Short to supply voltage
What you can do
- 1Read out and clear the fault code, then start the car to see whether it comes back
- 2Check that the 12-volt battery is charged and that its terminals are tight
- 3A workshop should check the permanent voltage supply cable to DCDC, as it is part of the high voltage system
- 4Work on the high voltage system may only be carried out by trained staff in a workshop
Symptoms you may notice1
- No noticeable symptoms for the driver
General guidance for car owners. Diagnosis on the car can point to a different cause.
