DCDC-P05631C - System Voltage High. General Electrical Failures. Circuit voltage out of range
System
Unknown System / Manufacturer Specific
Volvo models this fault code applies to
Applies to the following models:
1 modelV60 (2011–)
Show models by year and engine (2)
What does this fault code mean?
The DC/DC converter module (DCDC) has registered a system voltage outside its permitted range, and the fault is caused by a short to supply voltage. No noticeable effect on the driver is listed. As DCDC is part of the high voltage system, a workshop should carry out the fault-finding.
Possible causes
- Short to supply voltage
What you can do
- 1Clear the fault code and start the car to see whether it returns
- 2Check that the 12-volt battery has enough charge and that its terminals are tight
- 3A workshop should check the ignition-controlled supply cable to DCDC, as it is part of the high voltage system
- 4Work on the high voltage system may only be carried out by trained staff in a workshop
Symptoms you may notice1
- No noticeable symptoms for the driver
General guidance for car owners. Diagnosis on the car can point to a different cause.
