What does this fault code mean?
The DC/DC converter control module has found an internal fault in its EEPROM memory, the memory where it keeps stored data. The module checks its own internal memory and only stores the code once the fault is confirmed. The fault is inside the module's own memory rather than in the wiring around it. Because the converter is part of the high voltage system, charging of the high voltage battery is affected.
Possible causes
- Internal fault in the control module's EEPROM memory
What you can do
- 1Switch the ignition off, wait a moment and switch it on again. Check whether the warning goes out
- 2Read and clear the code with your own tool, then drive the car briefly to see whether it comes back
- 3If the fault returns, have a workshop check and replace the control module, since the fault is in the module's own memory
- 4The high voltage system may only be handled by qualified personnel. Do not make any changes to the control module or its wiring yourself
Symptoms you may notice4
- Warning symbol with a message in the display
- Charging of the high voltage battery is absent or reduced while driving
- Drive modes PURE, SAVE and AWD disengage automatically or are not available
- The combustion engine runs all the time or too often in HYBRID mode
What the fault can affect2
- The high voltage battery is not charged
- Hybrid drive mode is forced
