What does this fault code mean?
The DC/DC converter control module has found that the switched power source inside the module is operating outside the permitted range. The cause is an internal component fault in the module. The code is tested when the ignition is switched on and is only stored once the fault is confirmed. Charging of the high voltage battery is affected, and the drive modes are limited.
Possible causes
- Internal component fault in the control module
What you can do
- 1Switch the ignition off, then on again, and check whether the warning goes out
- 2Read and clear the code, then drive the car briefly to see whether it returns
- 3Have a workshop check the supply wire to the control module and the ground point for breaks, contact resistance and oxidation
- 4If the fault remains, the control module needs replacing, which only a workshop should carry out. The high voltage system may only be handled by qualified personnel
Symptoms you may notice4
- Warning symbol and message in the display
- The high voltage battery does not charge or charges poorly
- Drive modes PURE, SAVE and AWD disengage automatically or cannot be selected
- The combustion engine runs all the time in HYBRID mode
What the fault can affect2
- The high voltage battery is not charged
- Hybrid drive mode is forced
