What does this fault code mean?
The DC/DC converter control module has registered that its status circuit is too low. The code is generic and gives no further detail on the type of fault. The cause may be an open circuit or short in the connections or wires, for example a short to ground. Charging of the high voltage battery is affected.
Possible causes
- Short circuit or open circuit in the connections
- Short circuit to ground
- Open circuit or short circuit in the wires
What you can do
- 1Switch the ignition off, wait a moment and switch it on again. Then check whether the warning is gone
- 2Read and clear the code with your own tool, then drive the car briefly to see whether it returns
- 3Have a workshop check the connections and wires to the control module for breaks, contact resistance and oxidation, and check the ground point
- 4The high voltage system may only be handled by qualified personnel. Do not work on the wiring or connectors to the converter yourself
Symptoms you may notice4
- Warning symbol and message in the display
- The high voltage battery does not charge, or charging is reduced while driving
- Drive modes PURE, SAVE and AWD disengage automatically or are not available
- The combustion engine runs all the time or too often in HYBRID mode
What the fault can affect2
- The high voltage battery is not charged
- Hybrid drive mode is forced
