Applies to the following models:
1 modelV60 (2011–)
Show models by year and engine (2)
What does this fault code mean?
The DC/DC converter control module has registered that its status circuit is too low, and the voltage is below the permitted range. The cause may be a short to ground or a break or poor contact in the connections. The code is tested when the ignition is switched on. Because the converter is part of the high voltage system, charging of the high voltage battery is affected.
Possible causes
- Short circuit or open circuit in the connections
- Short circuit to ground
What you can do
- 1Switch the ignition off, wait a moment and switch it on again. Then see whether the code comes back
- 2Check that the ordinary battery is fully charged and that its terminals are tight, since weak voltage in the electrical system can affect the converter
- 3Have a workshop check the supply and connections to the converter, and the ground point, for breaks, contact resistance and oxidation
- 4If the fault remains, have a workshop replace the control module. The high voltage system may only be handled by qualified personnel
Symptoms you may notice4
- Message and warning symbol in the display
- The high voltage battery does not charge, or charging is reduced while driving
- Drive modes PURE, SAVE and AWD disengage automatically or cannot be selected
- Hybrid mode is forced and the combustion engine runs too often
What the fault can affect2
- No charging of the high voltage battery
- Hybrid drive mode is forced
