What does this fault code mean?
The DC/DC converter control module has registered that the status circuit is low and that the voltage in the circuit is outside the permitted range. The voltage may be too low or too high, and the cause may be a break or short in the connections or between the wires. Because the converter is part of the high voltage system, charging of the high voltage battery is affected.
Possible causes
- Short circuit or open circuit in the connections
- Short circuit between wires
- Voltage too low in the circuit
- Voltage too high in the circuit
What you can do
- 1Switch the ignition off, wait a moment and switch it on again, and see whether the code returns
- 2Check that the ordinary battery is in good condition and that its terminals are clean and tight
- 3Have a workshop check the supply to the converter and the ground point for breaks, contact resistance, oxidation and short circuits between the wires
- 4The high voltage system may only be handled by qualified personnel. Do not work on the converter's wiring or connections yourself
Symptoms you may notice4
- Message and warning symbol in the display
- The high voltage battery does not charge, or charging is reduced while driving
- The high voltage battery discharges or charges poorly
- Drive modes PURE, SAVE and AWD disengage automatically or cannot be selected
What the fault can affect2
- No charging of the high voltage battery
- Hybrid drive mode is forced
