Show models by year and engine (2)
What does this fault code mean?
The DC/DC converter control module has registered that the status circuit is high and that the voltage in the circuit is too low. The causes may be a short to ground, a break or short in the connections, or simply too low a voltage. Because the converter is part of the high voltage system, charging of the high voltage battery is affected.
Possible causes
- Short circuit to ground
- Short circuit or open circuit in the connections
- Voltage too low in the circuit
What you can do
- 1Switch the ignition off and on again, and see whether the code returns
- 2Have a workshop check the high voltage battery wiring for loose contacts and damage
- 3Have a workshop check the converter supply and ground point for breaks, contact resistance and oxidation
- 4The high voltage system may only be handled by qualified personnel. Do not make any changes to the wiring or connectors to the converter or the battery yourself
Symptoms you may notice4
- Warning symbol and message in the display
- Charging of the high voltage battery is absent or reduced while driving
- The high voltage battery discharges or charges poorly
- Hybrid mode is forced and the combustion engine runs too often
What the fault can affect2
- No charging of the high voltage battery
- Hybrid drive mode is forced
