What does this fault code mean?
The DC/DC converter control module has registered that the status circuit is high and that the voltage in the circuit is too high. This can be caused by a short circuit in the connections, or by a damaged high voltage battery. Because the converter is part of the high voltage system, charging of the high voltage battery is affected.
Possible causes
- Short circuit in the connections
- Damaged high voltage battery
What you can do
- 1Switch the ignition off, wait a moment and switch it on again, then see whether the code returns
- 2Have a workshop check the high voltage battery wiring for loose contacts and damage, and the connections to the converter
- 3Have a workshop check the condition of the high voltage battery, since a damaged battery can cause this code
- 4The high voltage system may only be handled by qualified personnel. Do not work on the battery, the converter or their wiring yourself
Symptoms you may notice4
- Warning symbol and message in the display
- Charging of the high voltage battery is absent or reduced while driving
- The high voltage battery discharges or charges poorly
- Drive modes PURE, SAVE and AWD disengage automatically or cannot be selected
What the fault can affect2
- No charging of the high voltage battery
- Hybrid drive mode is forced
