What does this fault code mean?
The DC/DC converter control module has registered that the temperature sensor A circuit is giving a value that is too high. The fault is generic and gives no further detail on its type. The cause may be a faulty temperature sensor in the control module, or a cooling system that is not working properly. Charging of the high voltage battery is affected, because the converter is part of the high voltage system.
Possible causes
- Faulty temperature sensor in the DC/DC converter control module
- Faulty cooling system for the converter
What you can do
- 1Switch the ignition off, wait a moment and switch it on again, then check whether the warning has gone
- 2Look for visible leaks in the cooling system and check that the coolant level is correct
- 3Have a workshop check the temperature sensor and its circuit with diagnostic equipment, and replace the control module if the fault remains
- 4The high voltage system may only be handled by qualified personnel. Do not make your own changes to the converter's cooling system or wiring
Symptoms you may notice4
- Warning symbol and message in the display
- Charging of the high voltage battery is absent or reduced while driving
- The high voltage battery discharges or charges poorly
- Hybrid mode is forced and the combustion engine runs too often
What the fault can affect2
- No charging of the high voltage battery
- Hybrid drive mode is forced
