What does this fault code mean?
The DC/DC converter control module has registered that the temperature sensor B circuit is giving a value that is too high. The fault is generic and gives no further detail. The cause may be a faulty temperature sensor in the control module or a cooling system that is not working. Because the converter is part of the high voltage system, charging of the high voltage battery is affected.
Possible causes
- Faulty temperature sensor B in the control module
- Faulty cooling system for the converter
What you can do
- 1Switch the ignition off, wait a moment and switch it on again, and check whether the warning is gone
- 2Check the cooling system for leaks, since a faulty cooling system can also cause this code
- 3Have a workshop check temperature sensor B with diagnostic equipment, and replace the control module if the fault remains
- 4The high voltage system may only be handled by qualified personnel. Do not make your own changes to the converter's cooling or wiring
Symptoms you may notice4
- Warning symbol and message in the display
- The high voltage battery does not charge, or charging is reduced while driving
- The high voltage battery discharges or charges poorly
- Hybrid mode is forced and the combustion engine runs too often
What the fault can affect2
- No charging of the high voltage battery
- Hybrid drive mode is forced
