Applies to the following models:
1 modelV60 (2011–)
Show models by year and engine (2)
What does this fault code mean?
The DC/DC converter control module has registered that temperature sensor B is giving erratic readings, and that the fault is an internal component fault. The fault may lie in the sensor, but also in the cooling system for the converter. Because the converter is part of the high voltage system, charging of the high voltage battery is affected.
Possible causes
- Internal component fault in temperature sensor B
- Faulty cooling system for the converter
What you can do
- 1Switch the ignition off and on again, and see whether the code returns
- 2Find out whether the converter's cooling works as it should, for example by looking for leaks
- 3Have a workshop check temperature sensor B with diagnostic equipment, and replace the control module if the fault remains
- 4The high voltage system may only be handled by qualified personnel. Keep out of the converter's cooling and wiring unless you are qualified for high voltage work
Symptoms you may notice4
- Message and warning symbol in the display
- The high voltage battery does not charge, or charging is reduced while driving
- The high voltage battery discharges or charges poorly
- Hybrid mode is forced and the combustion engine runs too often
What the fault can affect2
- No charging of the high voltage battery
- Hybrid drive mode is forced
