What does this fault code mean?
The driver's door control module has registered that the unlock signal from the driver's door lock has been too low for too long. The lock may have stuck in the unlock position, the lock switch may be faulty, or the unlock signal wire may be shorted to ground. The lock then cannot be operated with the key from the driver's door.
Possible causes
- Lock stuck in the unlock position
- Faulty lock switch with an internal short circuit
- Unlock signal wire shorted to ground
What you can do
- 1Try locking and unlocking the driver's door with the key, and note whether the lock moves
- 2Press the lock button in the door and check that it returns fully when released
- 3Use a multimeter to check the wire from the door control module to the lock for contact with ground, including while the door moves
- 4If a short to ground is found, or the lock keeps sticking, have a workshop repair the wire or replace the lock
